I created the variable button which contains the id name. I am using th formula getelementbyid("button") to retrive that id, but is not working. can someone explain me how to resolv this issue? thanks

231,236 PointsThe argument passed to getElementById should be just the id name, not HTML code to create an element.
You'll also need to assign the value it returns to the "button" variable instead of that string of HTML code.
