Review for css tutorial so far

Why do you have to wait till the second topic ("basic selectors") in CSS track to explain what CSS is ? Instead, you simply show an html page with h1 tag. Style that with css inline, internal or external. That way you won't take more than 10-15 mins. Simple. Why wait till the second topic to reveal such a simple thing ?
