Review my portfolio website

Dear Three House users,

I just did some courses and I have completed my new websites. www.customlogo.nl and www.logobkk.com/. These are 2 websites I use to sell my design work in the Netherlands and Asia.

I know they are almost the same the target group will not see this off course.

I was wondering if some of you may have some feedback on my websites? And some tips on how to improve it.

Thank you.

I really like your site. It has a very simple and clean design. The edge-to-edge slider on the homepage is gorgeous. The widgets on your order page are awesome, as is the map on your contact page (the first time I've ever seen a pretty Google map embed). Also, I really like your footer with its edge-to-edge background image.

There are only a couple of things I'd suggest. First, be a little more liberal with your negative space. Right now, the content of your site is a little bit packed together, especially in your homepage, and adding some space between each major element would do a lot to clear that up.

Also, you should consider changing your typeface. Helvetica Neue is a great font, but it's very overused today. Try to pick something that communicates a certain character about your company, rather than the go-to. While you're at it, follow these five simple tricks to make your body copy look many times better. (Graphic designers hate me. :D)

Thank you for your nice feedback. It gives me a boost in confidence that you give such good feedback :)

In our next website update, I will do a font update. What do you think of: http://www.google.com/design/spec/resources/roboto-noto-fonts.html I really like the Roboto & Noto fonts.

I really like them both as well. They're both very clean, modern sans-serif fonts that make good geometric sense, but aren't quite as round as Helvetica, making them appear more friendly IMO.

A bonus to Noto is that it's available in many, many languages worldwide. Using Roboto for your headers and Noto for your body copy would make for a great combination. But it's all up to you. :)
