R.I.P. Jason Seifer (Ruby teacher)

With heavy hearts, it pains us to tell our students of the passing of Jason Seifer. He was a truly gifted teacher and great person, who we were honored to have as part of the Treehouse family. He will be greatly missed by many.

This is extremely sad news. He was an excellent teacher and had a hilarious, witty sense of humor that I truly loved. I appreciate everything he has taught me, and all he contributed to the tech community. My thoughts are with his friends, family, and coworkers.

Discovered this as I searched for an email address to personally thank him for introducing me to Ruby and being such a wonderful teacher who really knew what it's like for people to be beginners. Thanks for all the fun, engaging, and mentally stimulating lessons. I learned many things from you.

I also just discovered this while searching for his email in order to thank him for his wonderful work as a teacher. I first heard of Jason back in 2013 when I did his course "Rails for Zombies" (which totally rocks!) I am so sad to hear of his passing. He has been inspirational to me in my quest to become a professional Ruby developer. I pray that Lord Amitabha will grant him rebirth in the Pure Land, Namandabu!
