SEO

I started an ecommerce site with shopify already. How would I do SEO/marketing for my website? Do I need to hire someone for SEO? I would much rather learn how to do it myself than have to pay $1000/month

There is a huge amount of information available for free with a quick Google search, but i would start with SEO Basics here on Treehouse to get you going.

But Remember, It may seem like an easy job at first, but SEO is an ongoing process and be consistent.

SEO is the biggest part of running a successful online business. Achieving a good ranking involves a big investment of time (if you're doing yourself) or money (if you're hiring a professional). Whether you want to do the work yourself or hire a professional, it will depend on your situation. If you value your time highly and you're not that confident about SEO, you might find that spending time trying to spread the word about your site and get backlinks is not efficient when there are more productive things you could be doing. On the other hand, if you hire a professional who understand your business and who maybe aren't so high up the pay scale, you might be able to use them more profitably.

SEO is game of patience.It doesn't matter whether you hire an professional or do it yourself.I think hiring an SEO service will be good idea to give you SEO burden to the agency while you concentrate on core business model.
