Set up WAMP to serve http://localhost/my-site using C:\wamp\www\my-site\sub-directory as it's root directory.

Hi

I can't seem to find any documentation that will help me achieve this.

I thought it'd be worth asking on here to see if anyone knows how to do it.

I also have AMPPS on my Mac so that's another option.

Hi,

The "Easiest" way would be if you change the root directory directly in the httpd.conf that is provided with the WAMP.

Just look for the line('s) that says: DocumentRoot

Then change this to the folder you would like it to be the root directory of your WAMP.

That's the way to do it. Change the DocumentRoot line to wherever you want it to be. No need to mess around with folder permissions and ownership, just change the document root to something in your home folder.
