Setting up a social website

Hey there fellow TreeHousers! I have just got work for a new client and wanted some advice! I am to create a social website where users can log in,** upload some work** (poetry) in either text or video format. Each user can have up to 5 pieces of work showcasing at any one time for free with any additional work charged at a certain rate.

I will need to set this up in an environment allowing for multiple user logins so I was wondering what CMS I should use, Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress . From what I have read, Joomla is a good choice as it allows for better site complexity than WP and is easier to use than Drupal. At the moment I have little experience with WP development and none at all with Drupal/Joomla but am willing to learn, I don't mind at all.

What do you guys think? How would you go about this?

I'm open to any suggestions at all and thank you for your time in advance!

Well I think that BuddyPress for Wordpress might be a good place to look as well. I know its really good for social style sites. Might need some customization for your needs.
