10,637 PointsShould I wait for the Java Objects (Refresher) before getting into Java Objects current course? (mainly to teacher)
Before I get into Java Objects I really want to know if I will be missing a lot of things that would be told in the refresher course. Or is it just like a refresh of the course implemented somewhere where we would use them a lot?

Treehouse TeacherHi Ethan Moffat !
The current Java Objects course is one of my favorites, and I'm glad I'm getting a chance to refresh it. It's a great course. But like everything, it can always be better.
I've taken advice from students who have taken the course over the past two years and have implemented their requests.
The main differences are in more motion and explanations as to why we are about to do things before we start coding. The main thing I messed up on, in my opinion, is in conveying that all of this verbosity in keywords and access modifiers are used to express your ideas to other developers who will be using your code...and you sometimes, because we forget.
So my suggestion is to watch the current course, and if you feel like you want more of what I just mentioned, watch the new one, too, I will send out a notification when it goes live. You should be able to zip through the new one, as they are pretty much the same. I am going to suggest that everyone who has watched the original Java Objects to also watch the refresh. It's like the special edition version, now with 30% more Star Wars references ;)
Great question thanks for asking!
