JavaScript AJAX Basics (retiring) AJAX Concepts Introducing AJAX

So, have we been doing AJAX in the previous JS courses without noticing?

In the Jquery course, for example, we were able to make changes without having to refresh the page (for ex: adding a card after completing a form or fading out an elemtn).

Was AJAX happening then?

:point_right: AJAX involves making server requests and responding to the results.

So no, just using JavaScript to make dynamic changes to a page is not AJAX. But it's something you would likely do with AJAX to display the request results to the user.
