Do you not want to use github? If you're developing a personal project that you don't want to be public you can set up a private repository. Or you can connect to EC2 or Azure and create a repo for commits.

Jordan Powell - Nope using github for the central repository but the server hosting production code will be on premise. So I want to better understand how I can securly set up deployment from github to the production server,
