Python Python Basics Meet Python Using Input

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

I get the error SyntaxError: invalid syntax

using_input.py
var (favorite_color
color = input ('What is your favorite color?')

1 Answer

The challenge is expecting the input to be assigned to favorite_color and not to color.

var is not a keyword in python. favorite_color can be given a value, such as favorite_color = "red", without previously declaring favorite_color as a variable.
