TechDegree

Hi i was wondering if the TechDegree is more hands on than just doing code challenges and quizzes?

Sat for Example i'm using Treehouse and Codecademy together because CC is more coding which i love but i love Treehouse for the video content that explains things for me.

Can someone answer this for me please? Really interested in Taking one of the degrees but need to know this info before.

Also, if i wasn't interested in the Objective-C part of the course do i need to take it?

Howdy Derrick Codlyn!

Our Techdegee's utilize our existing content and bumps up a notch by introducing 12 unique projects for each Techdegree. These projects are deep, robust and have real world application.

Please understand that content within Techdegree cannot be skipped (unless it's a course you've already completed on your Treehouse account). If you're wanting to complete a Techdegree, you will have to go through all of the material within it and use that information in order to complete projects and pass our final proctored exam.

Feel free to reach out to us at help@teamtreehouse.com if you have any other questions or concerns, and please also remember that we do offer a 7 day free trial on our Techdegree service and can check it out from your enrollment page!

Derrick,

I started Treehouse about three weeks ago with a bit of experience using xcode and programming. I first started with the regular account, and only just bumped up to the tech degree. From what I saw, it is a lot more. I am on the soccer coordinator program and spending probably too much time on it, but through these struggles with this program, I feel like I am learning way more than just watching videos. Right now, I can say I recommend it if you have the extra cash on hand.

Thanks for the reply Rob Allessi! I have reached out with the email you mentioned above.

However, do you know or anyone know if i should learn to use Xcode before attempting to take the IOS course? Would it help to do so?

I would like to know what and how many projects are available for the JavaScript track in techdegree. So if I understand correctly, it is better to first complete a whole track before taking the techdegree?
