Test file locations

Is this course specifically targeting devs of tiny projects? The video and teacher notes said test files should always be at the root of the project, same level as package.json. But that is a nightmare to quickly navigate in all of the large projects I work on. Ive structured projects both ways. Its so much easier to have test located in a directory near the modules that the test are for when working in projects that have a large number of files and directories.
