The jQuery Basics Course will be retired on March 28, 2017. which course will replace it ?

Introduction to jQuery will replace jQuery Basics. If you are on the Full Stack JavaScript track, you would have received a notification months ago that Treehouse made updated changes to the track. You have an option to update your track, if you choose to do so. You aren't required to update your track. However, if it expires today (March 28, 2017), you may need to update your track which will include Introduction to jQuery.

Both of you should have received a notification months ago which would have appeared at the beginning of your Front End Web Development or Full Stack JavaScript before your list of individual modules to ask you if you wanted to review the changes to your track. If you did, you could see what modules were going to be removed, added, & moved in their sequence. After reviewing the changes, you had the option of updating your track or saying "no thanks." There were green buttons to click on for "reviewing the changes," "updating, " & "no thanks." You could have ignored this notice entirely, too, & it would still appear before your list of individual modules.

I don't know when either of you began your tracks, but these changes were posted months ago (sometime within the last year, but not that long ago.) Treehouse has updated, changed, & removed courses, too, when they became outdated. Coding updates change fast, & it's difficult to keep on top of them all. Just know part of being in the industry is being flexible & adaptable to change & learning new skills when the opportunities & challenges arise. You've already noticed that some of the versions of JavaScript libraries used in theses lessons were updated since Treehouse filmed their lessons. Frustrating, yes, but know that this is the nature of the industry. Don't let it upset you. Reach out for help on the Community page when you get stuck. You can also take written notes & review the videos as often as you like. I also look at the video transcript, too. (A software program is used to create it & it's not always accurate.) Perseverance & determination to complete your tracks no matter what will show you have stamina. Spend 2 hours per day at least 5 days per week learning code, & you'll get to the end of your tracks eventually. It helps to schedule your time to focus on it, too, so you can reach your goals every day. Don't forget, a good sense of humor helps, too.
