there is a syntax error in my code, any idea how to fix it thanks!

Here is the question:

Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.

HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two.

Sorry Eddie, I misread the problem.

Right now your conditional statement isn't working. It doesn't know what to do if a is not greater than b.

Try writing an if else statement

Hey Eddie,

Try moving your parameters right next to the function. max(10, 8);

I ran your code through jshint (http://jshint.com/) and it didn't like your parenthesis. JavaScript can be picky like that.
