Transition Timing Functions

So, what I understand is that we are editing the time distributed on every part of the transition (from the beginning to the end), so that some parts take less/more time and time left is distributed on other parts. Am I right? Because this lesson seems confusing to me.

It sounds like you have the correct understanding. The duration is the total transition time, start to finish. The timing function just affects how things will change over that time.
