Trouble with Code Challenge- adding a file to a repository in GIT

This is the question: We've created a new file in this repository called README.md. Add it to the repository so that git knows to track it.

This is exactly what is shown in the video, not sure what I am doing wrong...

the usual command is while you are in your project folder:

git add readme.md

Thank Michael, worked like a charm!

Hi Melodie,

Do you mind linking us to the Code Challenge and video in question? That could help other students point you in the right direction. Thanks!

Hi Jay,

Thank you for the tip! Will do for my future issues!
