Trying to enter in the font-weight as bold but it is not accepting my answer. I have it as follows: font-weight: bold;

the code is for: .intro span{ font-weight:bold; font-style:italic; }

What is incorrect in this formatting?

In your HTML file, i noted you have removed ">" after the opening <p> tag. i hope this helps

Your CSS is good, up through task 4. But as others have observed, the problem is that when you added the class to the paragraph, the end of the tag got accidentally removed.
