URI element

At 3:33 to 3:50 of the video, he is talking about a URI element? This part of the tutorial is very unclear, I don't follow it at all. Is this going to be covered later?

The URI is not an element, but a type of value that is associated with certain properties (such as "background-image" and "font-face"). It identifies a resource (like an image) that is located somewhere on the web, most likely outside of the local server.

It is usually given with the "url()" notation, which surrounds a string much like you might put on your browser's address bar.
