I don't really understand this question.

Hiya there! The challenge is askin' ya to create a function named returnValue which takes an argument and returns it in the same code block. And in the second task, you need to invoke the returnValue function and passed the resulting string to a variable called echo. Here is how your code should look like:

function returnValue (lol) {
  return lol;
}

var echo = returnValue("any string"); //returns "any string" if "echo" is invoked
