Video states that Windows is the only OS that Visual Studio can be ran on.

This is no longer true. There is a version of Visual Studio for Mac now (https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/visual-studio-mac/).

That makes sense. In that case, the statement made in the ASP.NET MVC 5 video would only be applicable for Windows. Thank you.
