VOID .... need someone who explains me more then nothing :)

public void addPost(ForumPost post) {

      System.out.printf("New post from %s %s about %s.\n",
                         post.getAuthor().getFirstName(),
                         post.getAuthor().getLastName(),
                         post.getTitle());
  }

Why we declare the addPost method with void ... this method prints the Names from the User and gets the title.So for me it returns something ... Names and Title. Why is it void .... confused :\

    mAuthor = author;

Printing is not returning. You must specifically use the return keyword unless you use the return type of void.

Let's look at this example:

//... imagine some class
public int addSomeNumbers(int number1, int number2) {
    console.printf("I am adding some numbers, %d to %d", number1, number2);
    return number1 + number2;
}

// ... and later
int result = obj.addSomeNumbers(40, 2);

So there what was returned was the result, the printing was just part of the method. If we don't return with the return statement, we leave a void.
