we wish to hide group but even after following instructions i am not able to succeed .(menu.setGroupVisible......)

i use
menu.setGroupVisible(R.id.group , color); as guided but it is not working

Make sure the "color" boolean value is set to false in the code.

setGroupVisible(int group, boolean visible); // shows or hides the group based on boolean value.
