Web Design Business

So I'm in the midst of making my own business and at the moment I am gathering up clients. I just finished landing this amazing project for a non-profit organization which I feel will establish my name in my community, but I am having trouble figuring out what I should ask for in return?

The website I am creating for this non-profit organization is free, any ideas in what I should ask for in return?

Thanks

Ask them to let you add your company name or website in the footer or something like that.

"This company was made by yourname" and an hyperlink to your website.

Exposure perhaps? Ask them to refer you or include your brand on their materials whenever is appropriate.

Not only exposure, but I highly recommend reminding them that although your personal services are free, you will still need to charge them for hosting. Then nice and politely set yourself up a hostgator reseller's account and earn yourself a modest residual profit as well - in fact, it could be your entire business model. I promise, with your good name and free community advertising, you will take your local competition this way.

Hosting = $15/month in profit x 200 customers = $3,000 in passive income whether you get a contract or not. I'm sure there's much more than 200 customers in your area, yes?

That's a great idea Michael! Thank you for your suggestion, is this what you do to gain income?
