Web Dev/Designer online hangouts

I would like to know where do web devvers/designers hang out online? I visit these forums and teamtreehouse everyday of course, but where else do YOU go?

What are YOUR favorite daily sites, forums, or chats to check out?

For developers you can check out stack overflow for code related Q &A

alistapart has great content but perhaps not the friendliest for beginners. I'd highly recommend The Big Web Show (http://5by5.tv/bigwebshow) for easy listening and great guests. Otherwise, I seem to spend quite a lot of time on SmashingMagazine at the moment,

I should have mentioned I've been building websites (off and on) since before Firefox and Chrome existed. I vividly remember the browser wars and how awesome it was when I built my first table-less layout.

But technology changes so rapidly that it's been hard to keep up, hence the reason for the initial post.

CSS Tricks has been a great resource as well as some of the others mentioned. I'm fairly new to Codepen though.

I came across this slideshow by Chris Coyier that I found interesting. https://speakerdeck.com/chriscoyier/how-to-stay-up-to-date-on-web-technology

Thanks for everyone's input!

Thanks for asking and getting answers to a question I didn't realize I also wanted answered.
