Web Portfolio Feedback

I like the simple design, but there are many issues with your site. Especially in Firefox, There's a broken image on the bible page

Also the tab thing you have on the side doesn't work in Firefox and there is random white space within the grey in chrome. Other than a few bugs you're off to a great start.

Overall I really like how the site looks.

A few quick things:

  • I pretty immediately noticed that the hamburger menu up in the top right doesn't seem to do anything.
  • The title in my browser is super complicated. It's got your name twice and flows out of the browser tab for me.
  • On the Website Wednesday post page, it seems like the content is pushed up to the header a little too much. Maybe add some extra padding there? I think you could skip the shadow on the header as well, but that's totally up to personal style.
  • Overall, the tone of the page is about you and what they could do for you ("throw me a like on Facebook, etc.). What can you do for them?

Garrett,

Your site looks nice and clean, and you've got some really awesome looking projects in your portfolio.

A few things I noticed/would recommend:

Your logo in your header should link back to your homepage. (perhaps you did this and it's just not working for me in Chrome).

The additional/gallery images for each project almost seem hidden being below the project description. Maybe trying moving them directly below the large image and above the description.

Also I'd recommend removing the Creative Wordplay project. This is very common to a project done in most introductory typography course and is the weakest piece compared to your great work.

Now that you mention it, you're right about the galleries. I will work on moving that below the main image.
