Website Information

I was thinking of opening an airplane ticketing website with my friends and I was hoping someone here is familiar with it, i was wondering, for example if I and/or my friends start working on a website do we have to open the company before we start the work on the website or can we build the website in our free time and when we are finished or the time is right we can open a company and use the website we already have build. And another information I was looking for, is there an specific system build to use (for example pay a monthly fee or buy) when your site is complete and costumers try to buy a ticket for example, what I am asking is the back-end of the whole buying process or If someone can just explain the whole process it would be great

This will be a big commitment time-wise. You most likely won't make much money until you bring in a lot of traffic.

Basically what you would do is pull data from different airlines when someone make a search. If I wanted to travel from Salt Lake City (SLC) to Atlanta (ATL) then you would find which airlines travel this route and, who the carrier is, what time these flights leave, their accommodations, if they are delayed, etc.. and present the info back to the user.

This is a heavily regulated industry and airlines are less willing than ever to have 3rd party sales. I wish you guys the best of luck.
