I know a lot people are using php. But I am trying to stay away from php. Does anyone know if Node.js is capable of building a site for blogging?

28,149 PointsSure, node would be more than capable. PHP is just popular because hosting is cheap and plentiful, and Wordpress is an attractive option for many - but literally any server side language or framework is capable of being a cms for a blog.
