What am i doing wrong?

You guys know what i am doing wrong?

function max(tomatos, bananas) {
  if(tomatos > bananas) {
    var outcome = tomatos - bananas;
    return outcome;
  }
}

max(30, 22);

This question is asking you to create a function that compares two numbers to see which one is larger. So you don't need that variable outcome with the subtraction math. You just need to check if one number is larger. If it is larger then return the larger. If it is not larger then return the other number (the else statement).

Hi Bram,

You need to return either tomatoes or bananas to use conditional statements to compare two numbers .

Use if else

function max(tomatoes, bananas) {
  if (tomatoes > bananas){
  return tomatoes
  } else {
  return bananas;
  }
}
max(30, 22);
