What are some exercises can I do to make me an overall better developer?

If I already got to know the code and am pretty fluent in the language that I am writing code in, what are some ways that can make me more efficient, and overall a better developer?

You should probably work on projects that deal with technology that's related to your core language. What's your core language? If it's python, learn about Pandas or Numpy by following some applied tutorials. If it's javascript, learn Reactjs or more about node.

Most of the battle of continued learning is relevance. It's easy to give up because you cannot be better due to what you're learning.
