16,286 PointsWhat development tools are the pros using? I've been reading about Codekit, Hammer, Grunt, and Mixture.
I'm trying to choose my tools for development. Sublime Text or Atom are obvious choices for text editing, but what are these other tools like Codekit, Hammer, Grunt, and Mixture. Do they all do pretty much the same thing? Do most professional web designers use these? For design on Mac, which would you recommend?

You're asking something similar to "what tools do pros use to fix cars?" The answer is--lots of things.
The "pros" use everything under the sun, and--especially for front-end web development--tools fads come and go in a matter of months. Don't try too hard to chase "popular", because you'll get a headache from pointless arguments about "best". There isn't a right or best answer to this--you'l have to try out a few, see what feels good, and keep using it. Web development/design is neverending learning--including the tools.
