What is the best way to go about learning how to build tic-tac-toe in Ruby?

I am a beginner going through both the Ruby and Java tracks on Treehouse. I would really appreciate your advice as to how to go about learning how to program a tic-tac-toe game. Any estimate on how it will take to learn? Thank you so much!

It's hard to estimate how long it would take you, it depends on your skill level, and also depends on your methodology (e.g. procedural or object oriented). I would probably design a class model first.
