I am having a hard time to comprehend everything in PHP. It's almost overwhelming in the "Building a Simple PHP Application." I understood the "PHP Basics" course just fine, but the former has so many methods and rules to PHP that I've never heard of.
Saying this, what is the best way to learn PHP? Should I just go and start trying to integrate PHP into html sites and hope for the best- researching along the way? Or, should I keep on watching videos and read books?

28,149 PointsPractice practice practice. I actually feel that learning how to build custom wordpress themes taught me a lot about PHP.
Start small and go from there. It is overwhelming at first.
