So close!! Be careful with your indentation and I commented out to extra assignment statements that were hanging up the code. The challenge is a little bit simpler than you expected!

Good luck with your Python journey-- it only gets better as you go on!

class RaceCar():
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining

        # adding any extra items to the class
        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)
        self.laps = 0

    def run_lap(self, length):
        # make sure to include self to reference the internal data
        # I commented out the next two lines because they are not needed to execute run_lap
        # self.length = length
        # self.laps = laps
        self.fuel_remaining  = self.fuel_remaining - (length * 0.125)
        self.laps += 1
