What is wrong with my code?

It won’t compile

There are two main issues with your code one is syntax and the other scope.

  1. there is an extra semicolon on the catch. This will just fail to compile.
try {
// something
}
catch(FormatException) {
// do something else
}
  1. Everything inside of the Main function should be inside of try except the console log of "You must enter a whole number." Basically, anything in try is its own block. That means that the code that is outside of try see what is inside try.
