HTML HTML Forms Form Basics Create a Textarea

What is wrong with this answer? <textarea id=”comment” name="user_comment"></textarea>

This was the command on the quiz: On the textarea element, add an id attribute and set the value to "comment".

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>HTML Forms</title>
  </head>
  <body>
  <form action="index.html" method="post">

    <input type=”text" id="name" name="user_name">

The problem is with the opening quotation mark here :

input type=”text"

and both of the quotation marks here:

textarea id=”comment”

It looks like you have copied and pasted these attributes values from the question and while it was pasting it set them to have italics which is causing the error. All you have to do is remove these italic quote marks and retype them and it will work

Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. That was certainly it. I often type in another document as I can see it more clearly and then paste it, but the marks often get inverted.
