What´s wrong with my phyton code?

I´m having problems with this exercise, i can´t seem to find the problem with my code. Can someone help?

def add(name, number):
    try:
        count = return float(name)+float(number)
    except ValueError:
        return(None)
    else:
        return count

You're close, just delete the word return from your try statement, and in your except statement, delete the parentheses..

The parentheses are certainly not needed, but they don't affect passing the challenge.

Are you assigning or returning?

This line seems to be trying to do both:

        count = return float(name)+float(number)

I'm not sure if you intended to assign count here, or if you intended to return, but you need to pick one or the other. What's really interesting is that either choice will pass the challenge.
