What type of channel should my business focus?

Im confused..In the perspective of sales channel how should work a scenario where i own an online store/blog where i sell other peoples products? I dont make the products, i just want to reach to a certain companies/individuals who make them (and sell themselves) and ask if i can sell on my website? Is that a mistake? Am i combining both types of channels doing this?

I don't think it's bad, a lot of people do this especially in the form of advertising. Or authorized retailers.

Do you have any products you sell? You might want to sell 1 or 2 products of your own also.

Basically you just want to show those companies that you have a certain size audience that would be interested in their products. (ie your blog)

I think there are two ways to do what you're talking about and both are viable:

1) You stock and sell other people's products. This is called wholesaling and happens everywhere.

2) You get people to buy another person's product and earn a commission. Check out this article on how to do it - written by someone who makes about $100,000 per month doing mostly just that.
