What's the benefit of using a custom data-* attribute to select an element with JavaScript and a class to target the element with CSS?

Hey Hanwen Zhang , the custom data attribute can help make it easier to target a subset of a collection of elements with JS. And the class attribute is useful for selecting a group of elements to style them all with a single CSS rule. :thumbsup:
