What's the best laptop for going into web development?

I plan to switch careers to web development. I will be starting at Bloc's coding bootcamp on February 12th. I know I will be learning Ruby on Rails or full stack JavaScriptscript with node depending on what I choose once I pass the basics. What is a good affordable laptop that would be good for web development?

Hello Adrienne,

My first choice will be a Mac. the reasons: if you are planning to go with Ruby on Rails. you have two choices, one of the Linux distributions or MacOS, windows will work but it's a bit buggy and more troubleshooting than coding. So, with Ruby life is easier with Linux or MacOS :). Plus Ruby comes installed on Mac and you will update it easily! Node JS is polyvalent. Best luck! I love Ruby ?
