Whats the difference between the regular membership and the tech degree? Is it one or the other?

I have a membership, but I saw you can actually get a degree through this program? Does it cost more? Is it in addition to your membership? Or is it a separate fee? Separate program completely? I wasn't finding many details about it for some reason...

You can read upon our Techdegree over at https://teamtreehouse.com/techdegree. Like Basic and Pro, the Techdegree option is its own standalone plan that starts at $199/mo.

We firmly believe the skills and attitude a student gains will ultimately secure them a job, not the certificate itself. This is why we focus on providing students with high-quality curriculum that sets them up for success. Each Techdegree has 12 unique real-world projects that get exponentially more advanced and complicated as you progress through the course. Project reviewers will be able to see the code you've written to determine how well you've done and your completed projects will make for great examples to show off on your portfolio.

After completing all 12 projects, you'll be ready to tackle the final exam. The final exam is important in the sense that it's the final chapter of the Techdegree process. That final exam will earn you a digital certificate which you can showcase on your public portfolio. While all of the projects showcased in your portfolio will be the core of what employers seek, the certificate is the bow on the package.
