What's wrong with this code? It works fine in the console.

This works fine in the console but won't pass on the quiz.

Any thoughts?

script.js
function max(num1, num2) {
  if (num1 > num2) {
    return num1;
  } else {
      return num2;
  }
}

var maxnum = max(5, 7);

alert("The larger of the numbers is " + maxnum);

The challenge is not expecting a string with the number.

Put just the number in the alert, and you should pass.
