Java Using the Android Device Monitor

When I pull up the Android Device Monitor why my Nexus Smartphone Emulator is not popping up under "Devices"?

In the video, the Nexus smartphone is the 1st thing to pop up under devices in the Android Device Monitor. My Nexus_5X_API_22 is not....I can't find out how to access it in the ADM so I can continue to follow the video.

Once inside the Android Device Monitor (AVD) click in the bottom left where it says "create virtual device." Then follow the prompts from there.

  1. Select "Nexus 5" and click next in the bottom right.
  2. Just use the recommended api (23) that is selected and press next.
  3. Just press finish.
