When I start working in Xcode I can't see the work I'm doing on the right hand side like in the video.

In the video it shows the work on the right hand side. On my computer it only shows me the code and I can't see what my work looks like. What can I do to fix this

Look on the right hand side of your screen and see if you see any small half filled box looking things. I have a feeling you have a panel hidden that should be visible. See if clicking one of those will unhide it.
