Where can I get free/royalty free cover photos

I'm doing a portfolio site for myself, I want a very nice cover photo to put on my site. It has to be royalty free or copyright free, but I don't know where I can get any from. Any ideas??

Check out Trehouse's student perks, they have 2-3 free packs of stock photos, copyright-free I guess.
