Where is the reset?

I am going over and over these videos Zac, and can't seem to locate where you integrate multiple loops in same template and resetting them? I see you're pulling wp_query s from different templates into a same template but I don't see a reset implementation and what does loop like when I want to show only titles or excerpts.
