Which track to do?

This course would be a perfect place to start!

As far as tracks go, I've heard wonderful things about the web development track. Its a long one but you'll learn a ton!

WordPress is pretty interesting to know if you want something with limited coding... I stopped in the middle of the Front End Developer track to learn it because a friend wanted me to build him a WordPress site. It's pretty easy-peasy.

hmm just a curiosity. If i want to start to build a word press theme. should i start to learn from Front End Track First or Website development Track ? because i think if i build a personal word press theme would speed up my work faster later.

Hmm, not sure. there's a bunch of WordPress developer courses here that I haven't taken yet. I took the basics only. there might be some good info in there..

I will say, knowing html and css is a great skill. Literally everything is moving to the web now. Tons of desktop apps that are now accessible through online subscription.

Play it by ear. Learn as much of the WordPress to build your own site, get comfortable with it, then move over to Web design. If coding grabs your fancy, go with the Front End developer stuff.

I will say, when I finally took jquery, I loved the course. Other courses I have taken didn't make it seem so, well 'functional' really. Andrew Chalkley really made it make sense from a usage standpoint.

I will say, get coding as soon as you can. With all these wix and 'make your own website' websites, just html and css won't really be enough. Go for backend stuff like php, ruby etc ad know you javascript (because the concepts are what is important, the rest is syntax). Get to know loops, objects, methods etc
