Formatting dates, there is a comma after SELECT *. If you remove the comma, you get an error, but I've never seen it used before.

Columns in a SELECT statement are separated by a comma (,
).
I'd bet you have seen this before, but perhaps just not with the "all columns" symbol (*
). It's still just separating it from an additional column that will be returned by the SELECT.
