Courses Plus Student 14,981 PointsWhy didn't you guys just go more in depth on Laravel Valet or Homestead for Dev?
I feel this is a better approach especially since you're using a Mac. Valet is super simple and Laravel has made it super simple to use the .test domain name

Treehouse TeacherHi 👋🏼 David Ryan,
Thanks for your excellent question. The first course, Laravel Basics, is an introduction to Laravel, and each subsequent course released will build on top of what you learn in the previous courses. To answer the Laravel Valet part, I'm live-streaming this Friday on getting started with Laravel, and the following Friday we will cover Laravel Valet showcasing some of the upcoming Laravel courses. Courses Plus Student 14,981 PointsAhh okay. Yeah, very excited to see what you guys come up with for Laravel. Taylor has really created some intuitive programs to fit with Laravel and I believe that a lot of this would be wonderful for the students who don't want to pay for more training elsewhere.

Treehouse TeacherThanks for your message and I totally agree, David Ryan. I'm screencasting Build a REST API with Laravel right now, so definitely keep an eye our for that course. In the meantime, you can check out these two Treehouse Livestream resources on geting started with Laravel and how to install Laravel valet on macOS. While you can use Valet with Windows, I only cover macOS since it is the only OS supported by Laravel at this time. Happy coding!
