Why not to motivate students to be more active in community Q&A?

Hello. I see that out community is not much active including myself. I suggest to motivate students by giving some free one month subscription for the best student who answered the most questions (should be marked as right answer or should get more voices) in each month? I think it will help everyone. What do you think?

hmm, the hazard to the point system is that eventually people work out that unless the industry regards them as meaningful, the game layer is ultimately meaningless. Without some kind of meaningful incentives, helping people or taking the time to report bugs disadvantages users. It risks being repetitive, time consuming and demotivating (if it slows your learning).

(to be clear, i still try and help people, but try to not care about the point system. Instead i'm trying to force myself to focus on altruism of helping people, and find the occasional sincere thanks as far more meaningful that 12 theoretical points towards nothing in particular..)

Sounds like a nice suggestion. But I think everyone needs to make some money.. I'd suggested making a certain currency like Credits or something that students can earn through answering other student and helping. And for these points one can unlock premium content.
